June March Hare Market

1. My first March Hare Market of the year with Bottled Treasures, still figuring out an easier display method. 2. Absolutely love my custom lilac roses bows from Buttons and Bows Hair Accessories, so cute and the colour is perfect! 3. New rings from Ginger Pickle are great for summer, I'd have bought one if I wasn't on a shopping ban and already have too many rings. 4. Gorgeous Bonbi Forest lockets also from Ginger Pickle, my boyfriend bought me one with a night time house on it last year. 5. My Mum can never resist Cottage Soap Company's soaps, the house is full of these! 6. Love these new hanging hearts from Curious Furnishings, available in so many pretty fabric patterns. 7. My Mum's stall, Bosie Boutique, looking lovely as ever! 8. I have come home with the gold framed chalkboard from Peapod that's peeking in the corner of this photo, currently trying to find a space for it in the house...

A Rainy Day Out

This time last week me and my boyfriend David went on a rainy day out. We'd planned it beforehand and had decided we wanted to walk over to Johnstone Gardens as he'd never been there before. It looked strangely autumnal but there was that great summer rain smell in the air. Afterwards we decided to stop for a morning break of banoffee tart and hot chocolate with marshmallows at the Gordon Highlanders museum tearoom. David wanted to go into the actual museum part but as it was a budget day out we decided to do it another day and then found an itison deal for half price entry so snapped that up for future use! We walked back into town for some boring shopping then had a late lunch at Revolution (with a Spree book voucher - still saving up for holidays so ever penny counts!). We were going to go to the cinema but David got a last minute night shift so we didn't have time.

June Catch Up

1. Watercolour and fineliner illustrated father's day card - I'm doing a family photo shoot as his present once we can get everyone to agree on a time. 2. Bottled Treasures stock now available from Creative Boutique in Old Meldrum! 3. Went to the Gray's School of Art degree show opening night and then again for a proper look. Getting slightly freaked out that this is me in a year's time! 4. Been clearing out everything from clothes to craft materials and discovered that my key charm collection has grown quite large. Trying to find a use for these, so far they have inspired an idea for an illustration series. 5. Trying very hard to save for my holiday this month but treated myself to some floral shoes and earrings - £4 in total from Primark so not too much of a shopping spree! 6. Love my 'bubble' vase charity shop find, it's all pearly and rainbow like a bubble (you can't tell in this photo)

Bottles from the Hart

The Creations from the Hart & Bottled Treasures Collaborative Collection is finally live! We got together back in April (crazy how time flies) to design these over tea and yummy treats. We wanted to come up with one off statement pieces that brought together the quirky style of our jewellery, Maya worked on the polymer clay cameos and I took care of the bottles and charms. They turned out pretty cute! There are 6 pieces altogether, which have all been added to the 'Collaborative' section of the Bottled Treasures shop. Below are some of the quick shots I took after the Finzean vintage summer fair with Maya modelling the jewellery in her gorgeous vintage dress. We hope you like the results of our collaboration!

A Very Vintage Summer Fair

I was at Leonie Loves' Very Vintage Summer Fair yesterday with Bottled Treasures - a great day for sales and catching up with friends. I meant to take more photos but ended up too busy chatting and drinking homemade lemonade and munching on cake... oops! It was a beautiful venue, recently refurbished with lots of natural lights and unusual features. I spotted lots of goodies I wanted to buy but I'm being strict with saving for my holiday at the moment so they will have to wait! After the fair myself and Maya from Creations from the Hart took some quick photos of her modelling our collaborative pieces which will be launched on the website tomorrow.

Oh and if anyone has any ideas of how to make my stall display less fiddly to set up please share!

Bottled Treasures Photo Shoot

Since the new website has been up and running I've been trying to organize a simple photo shoot of the jewellery being modelled. They are so tiny and it's hard to tell the scale from the close up images. I think the new photos help you see the size and way they sit when worn really well. Amber was a great model and chose pink Fairy Dust, Poison Apples and The Crocheter pendants to keep as a little thank you. The photos have now been added to our website. Now we just need to get on with the new catalogues!
